Michael Kick is a Lieutenant of the Buffalo Fire Department who is assigned as Marine Captain of the Edward M. Cotter (Engine 20).

Michael joined the BFD after graduating from class 02-01. He would serve as a firefighter until promotion to Lieutenant in July of 2015. On October 30th 2024, Michael would become Marine Captain of the Cotter where he is stationed to this day. 

Captain Kick is also a member of WNY's beloved Greater Buffalo Firefighters Pipes and Drums band.
